Stolen Israeli Army Tank Recovered in Scrapyard

A decommissioned tank was stolen from an army training base in northern Israel and later found in a scrapyard 20km away. The tank, which was just the chassis of a Merkava Mk II and had no functioning armament, was used for soldiers' exercises. Two suspects have been arrested, and an investigation is ongoing. This incident follows a similar theft last February when two army soldiers stole a tank to protest against the government's plans to overhaul the country's judiciary.
