"Spain's Largest Cocaine Seizure: 9.5 Tons Uncovered in Banana Shipment from Ecuador"

Spanish customs agents and National Police have seized a record-breaking 9.5 tons of cocaine hidden in a banana shipment from Ecuador. The drugs were discovered in a refrigerated container in the port of Algeciras, among a cargo shipment that was supposed to contain boxes of bananas. This is the largest cocaine bust in Spain to date, surpassing the previous record of 8.4 tons in 2018. The investigation began in July after receiving information about a pending shipment of Colombian cocaine via Ecuador. No arrests have been made thus far.
