Rising Pickpocket Crimes Plague London Underground

Pickpocketing thefts in London have more than doubled in 2022, reaching a record high of 7,899 incidents, according to data from the British Transport Police. The Central Line of the London Underground, which passes through central London and stops at popular attractions, had the highest number of reported pickpocketing incidents. Thieves often operate in teams, create distractions, or use crowded areas to their advantage.
