Nigerian Afrobeat Star Seun Kuti Arrested for Alleged Police Assault.

Nigerian musician Seun Kuti, son of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer in Lagos. The arrest came after a viral video showed him shouting and apparently pushing and hitting a policeman. Kuti turned himself in early on Monday and has been placed under arrest. The police said acts of contempt and disdain “for symbols of authority will not be tolerated while offenders of such hideous crimes will be surely brought to book”.
