Michigan Man Receives Life Sentence for Murder and Rape at Neuschwanstein Castle

Troy Phillip Bohling, a man from Michigan, was sentenced to life in a German prison for the murder and rape of American tourist Eva Liu near Germany’s Neuschwanstein castle. He lured Liu and another tourist, promising to show them a scenic spot for selfies, then attacked them. Bohling strangled and raped Liu, and pushed her and the other tourist down a slope. Liu died from her injuries, while the other tourist survived. The court found Bohling guilty of murder, attempted murder, and rape with fatal consequences, and he is unlikely to be eligible for release after 15 years due to the severity of his guilt.
