German Police Officer Shot in Raids on Far-Right Extremist Group

German police officer was shot and wounded during raids on properties across the country linked to investigations into the far-right Reichsbuerger movement which is accused of plotting to overthrow the government. One person was detained on suspicion of several counts of attempted murder and grievous bodily harm after shots were fired in the southern town of Reutlingen. The raids in eight German states and in Switzerland, targeted five individuals suspected of belonging to a terrorist organisation and a further 14 people who were not suspects but may have possessed useful material.
