German Authorities Accuse Two Men of Treason in Russian Espionage Case

Germany has charged two men, one of whom worked at the country's foreign intelligence agency, with high treason for allegedly spying for Russia. The suspects are accused of passing on state secrets, with one of them acquiring documents from the agency and providing them to the other, who then handed them over to the Russian secret service. The suspects allegedly received substantial payments from the Russian side, and one of them arranged for the other to be "smuggled" through customs upon his return to Germany.
