Russia Suffers Devastating Losses in Ongoing Ukraine Conflict

Ukraine claims that Russian forces lost 18 tanks, 43 armored personnel vehicles (APVs), and 42 artillery systems in a single day, bringing Russia's total tank losses to 5,241 since the start of the war. The Ukraine General Staff also reported 930 Russian casualties in the previous day, totaling 302,420 since the war began. Exact numbers of Russian troop losses are difficult to determine, but the UK Ministry of Defense estimated between 150,000 and 190,000 permanent casualties. Despite these losses, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) suggests that Russia is preparing for another wave of infantry-led ground assaults. Additionally, there are reports that North Korea may be replenishing Russian supplies of ammunition, including artillery shells.
