"Israel's Deadly Attacks on Journalists in Gaza and Lebanon Reach Grim Milestone"

The death toll of journalists covering the Israeli bombardment in Gaza and Lebanon has reached 53, with two journalists from Al Mayadeen killed in southern Lebanon and a digital content presenter killed in northern Gaza. The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) reports that 45 of the journalists killed have been Palestinian, three have been Israeli, and three have been Lebanese. CPJ also notes that this has been the deadliest period for journalists covering the conflict in over 30 years. Additionally, CPJ has documented 11 journalists injured, three missing, and 18 arrested. The Israeli government has been criticized for censorship and arrests of journalists, both in Gaza and within Israel.
