Uganda's Leader Claims Successful Air Strike on IS-Allied Rebel Group in Congo

Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni announced that an air strike conducted by the country's military in the Democratic Republic of Congo killed members of the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF), an Islamic State (IS)-allied rebel group. The strike targeted key individuals responsible for bomb attacks in Uganda's capital, including Meddie Nkalubo. The ADF continues to carry out attacks in both Congo and Uganda, with the aim of establishing Islamic rule. The exact number of casualties from the air strike was not disclosed.
