Wagner Group Chief Accuses Russian Army of Mutiny and Violence

Yevgeny Prigozhin, the head of private military contractor Wagner, has called for an armed rebellion aimed at ousting Russia's defense minister. Russian security services have opened a criminal investigation into Prigozhin for calling for an armed rebellion. Wagner has been accused of human rights abuses throughout Africa and has been involved in conflicts in Ukraine, Syria, Libya, the Central African Republic, and Mali. Prigozhin has criticized Russia's military leadership for failures in the war in Ukraine and has threatened to pull out his men.
