Sudan's Battle Intensifies, Causing Desperate Shortages in Khartoum.

Sudan's capital, Khartoum, is facing intensifying attacks and growing lawlessness, leaving civilians struggling with limited water, food, and medicine. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group has been accused of looting and pillaging neighbourhoods across the city. Aid groups have struggled to provide assistance to civilians, who also face electricity shortages and dwindling supplies in shops and pharmacies. The conflict between army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his former deputy, Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, commonly known as "Hemedti", who commands the RSF, has resulted in hundreds of civilian deaths and a massive humanitarian crisis. The United States has imposed sanctions on both generals, and previous ceasefires have failed to bring lasting peace.
