Israeli Airstrikes Devastate al-Maghazi Refugee Camp, Leaving Dozens Dead

Israel's military has bombed al-Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, killing more than 30 people, according to Palestinian officials. The bombing follows recent air raids on Jabalia and Bureij refugee camps that officials say killed over 200 people. The exact number of casualties from the bombing is yet to be independently confirmed. The United States has rejected calls for an immediate ceasefire, instead proposing "humanitarian pauses" to deliver aid and secure the release of captives held by Hamas. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected a temporary cessation in the war unless it involves the release of Israelis and foreigners believed to be held captive by Hamas.
