"Intense Aerial Warfare: Russian and Ukrainian Forces Clash in Deadly Attacks"

Ukrainian forces have shot down a Russian Mi-8 helicopter as Russian advances on the frontline town of Avdiivka appear to be slowing down. The Russian Defense Ministry has not yet commented on the incident. According to Ukrainian military statistics, Russia has lost 318 aircraft and 317 helicopters since the invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, while Ukraine has lost 488 aircraft and 250 helicopters. There were around 70 combat clashes along the front lines in eastern and southern Ukraine, with Ukrainian forces defending against multiple Russian attacks on Avdiivka and other villages and towns. The Institute for the Study of War noted that Russian forces continue offensive operations but have not made further gains in the area.
