Saukkonen + Partners design Villa K.

Villa K is a hideaway cabin located on a remote island in lakeside Finland, designed by Saukkonen + Partners for a couple returning to Finland for occasional stays. The main cottage and a separate sauna building are connected by overlapping roof structures, and the villa aims to become one with nature. The buildings were designed to be ecological and low-energy-consuming, and the materials and color scheme were chosen to blend in with the surrounding nature.
