The Casa del Alma, also known as Soul House, is a residential project located in Oaxaca City, Mexico. The house was designed to provide a peaceful and contemplative space for its elderly owner, who sought refuge from the chaos of the city. The two concrete volumes of the house were designed to blend in with the natural landscape, with horizontal and vertical perforations allowing for cross-ventilation and natural light. The house features a basement for mechanical rooms and parking, a first floor for services, social areas, and bedrooms, and a private volume on the second floor with a terrace offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
