ERDC Arquitectos designs Villanueva Housing.

Residencias Villanueva is a social housing project in Quito, Ecuador, that includes 27 apartments and 17 houses, with a focus on high-quality construction and neighborhood connection. The project offers a wide variety of typologies, allowing for diverse occupancy, and seeks to include mutability, with houses that can be expanded in various stages. Residencias Villanueva was developed under the framework of the VIP program, meeting affordability requirements set by the Ecuadorian government for social housing projects. The project values communal spaces, sustainability, and expansion, with a central green space and rear patios that allow for the preservation of a green and permeable perimeter ring in the project.
