Tragic Deaths of Four Hikers on Mexico's Pico de Orizaba

Four hikers were killed in a climbing accident on Pico de Orizaba, the highest mountain in Mexico and an active volcano. The accident occurred when one of the climbers slipped and fell, dragging the rest of the group approximately 16,400 feet down the mountain. This is the first deadly accident on Pico de Orizaba since June 2022.
