Fatal Cheese: Italian Man Crushed by Grana Padano Wheels

A 74-year-old man in Italy, Giacomo Chiapparini, was crushed to death by collapsing metal shelves holding 25,000 wheels of Grana Padano cheese weighing 40 kilograms each in his warehouse. Firefighters worked for 12 hours to free him, but were only able to recover his body the next morning. The cause of the shelf collapse is still under investigation, with authorities suspecting material fatigue or a technical fault. Chiapparini was the owner of a dairy factory that produces Grana Padano cheese.
