Gulf Coast Alert: Tropical Disturbance Threatens Florida

Tropical Depression 10, currently located in the Gulf of Mexico, is expected to strengthen and potentially become a tropical storm or hurricane before reaching Florida. The storm is slowly moving northward and its exact path is still uncertain. Heavy rain, gusty winds, and isolated tornadoes are possible impacts for Florida. Governor Ron DeSantis has declared a state of emergency for 33 counties in preparation for the storm. The National Hurricane Center is closely monitoring the system, which was previously identified as Invest 93L.
