The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, previously thought to be exclusive to Samsung Galaxy devices, has been found in the RedMagic 8S Pro, a Chinese smartphone with impressive specs. The RedMagic phone features the same "for Galaxy" variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is practically identical to the regular variant. Qualcomm confirmed that there are no specification differences between the two variants. Despite the slight boost in performance, the chipset will not be labeled as a "Plus" model, as Qualcomm aims to maintain a simplified naming structure.
