Intel Unveils 14th Gen Core Series CPUs with 6GHz Speeds

Intel has unveiled its 14th generation Core-series desktop processors, featuring the refreshed Raptor Lake architecture. The new chips, including the Core i9-14900K/KF, Core i7-14700K/KF, and Core i5-14600K/KF, offer modest improvements in clock speed and some new software and connectivity features. The Core i9-14900K claims to be the first CPU to hit 6.0GHz at volume. The processors also introduce Intel Application Optimization for improved threading and scheduling, AI-assisted overclocking, enhanced memory controller, and support for Wi-Fi 6/6E, Bluetooth 5.3, Thunderbolt 5, and existing 600 and 700 series chipset motherboards. Available from October 17 at the same prices as previous generation parts.
