Apple's iOS 18.2 Enhances AirTag Tracking for Lost Items and Luggage

Apple is testing a new feature in the iOS 18.2 developer beta that allows users to share the location of lost items via the Find My app with people outside their contacts using a shareable link. This feature aims to help locate lost items by enabling non-Apple device users, such as cab drivers or airline employees, to access the location link, which expires after a week or once the item is recovered. Additionally, users can share contact information to facilitate communication with the person who finds the item.
