Apple has announced a policy change allowing game-streaming services like Xbox’s Game Pass Ultimate to submit a single app capable of streaming all games offered in their catalog, eliminating the previous requirement for individual game apps. This change, along with other lifted restrictions, is expected to make game streaming on iOS and iPadOS devices much less cumbersome. The move may also attract more developers to target the cloud-gaming audience through the App Store, potentially impacting Sony's plans to bring its PlayStation Now service to iOS.
