McCaffrey Caps Comeback Season with Comeback Player of the Year Honor

Christian McCaffrey was named Comeback Player of the Year at NFL Honors after a remarkable 2025 rebound from a 2024 season cut short by injuries. He won 31 of 50 first‑place votes (395 points), beating out Aidan Hutchinson, Dak Prescott, Trevor Lawrence and Stefon Diggs. After missing 13 games in 2024, he started all 17 in 2025, rushing 311 times for 1,202 yards and 10 TDs, and adding 102 receptions for 924 yards and seven receiving TDs (2,126 yards from scrimmage), while leading the NFL in receiving yards by a running back. He became the first 49ers player to win the award since Garrison Hearst in 2001 and the first non-quarterback winner since Keenan Allen in 2017.
