AJ Allmendinger Triumphs at The Roval, NASCAR Playoffs Narrowed to 8

AJ Allmendinger won the elimination race at The Roval at Charlotte Motor Speedway, spoiling NASCAR's playoffs and securing his first win in NASCAR's top series since 2021. Allmendinger, who led 46 laps for Kaulig Racing, became emotional after the victory and dedicated the checkered flag to his newborn son. His win eliminated Kyle Busch from the playoffs, while Ross Chastain, Brad Keselowski, and Bubba Wallace were also eliminated. The remaining eight drivers advancing to the next round include William Byron, Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, Tyler Reddick, Christopher Bell, Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Larson, and Chris Buescher. The next race in the playoffs will be held at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
