The campaign raised $4.18 million on Saturday alone, their highest-grossing day of the entire campaign. Trump's joint fundraising committee quickly capitalized on the mug shot by selling merchandise featuring it, and Trump himself shared the booking photo on social media with a link to donate. The campaign spokesperson also claimed that the campaign raised "close to $20 million" in the last three weeks. Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie criticized Trump's use of campaign donations to pay his legal fees, calling it unethical and immoral.
