Trump to be Arraigned on Tuesday Afternoon Following Indictment

Former US President Donald Trump is set to appear in a New York court on Tuesday to face criminal charges over hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election. Trump became the first former US president to face criminal charges after the Manhattan grand jury investigating his role in the payments voted to indict him. His attorney Joe Tacopina has insisted that there is “zero chance” the former president will take a plea deal in the criminal case. Trump has railed against the “corrupt” charges, claimed he can’t get a fair trial in New York, and lashed out at Judge Juan Merchan who is assigned to the case.
