Trump Indicted on Multiple Counts in Election Interference Probe

Former President Donald Trump has been indicted for the third time, this time on four charges related to his alleged conduct while in office and his efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Special Counsel Jack Smith announced the indictment, which also named six unnamed co-conspirators. Trump likened the indictment to "Nazi persecution" and his campaign characterized it as "political targeting." In addition to the criminal charges, Trump also faces civil lawsuits over his election loss and the January 6th Capitol assault.
