"Supreme Court Rejects Peter Navarro's Bid to Delay Prison Sentence"

Former Trump White House trade adviser Peter Navarro's bid to delay his prison sentence for contempt of Congress has been rejected by Chief Justice John Roberts, clearing the way for him to begin serving a four-month sentence in Florida. Navarro was charged after refusing to comply with a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol. His attorneys argued that his prosecution violated the separation of powers doctrine, but the Supreme Court denied his request for emergency relief. Navarro is ordered to report to federal prison in Miami by Tuesday.
