Mike Pompeo Rules Out 2024 Presidential Run

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Friday that he will not be running for president in 2024, citing it as a "deeply personal decision." Although he had been fueling speculation about a potential bid, he claimed that Donald Trump did not factor into his decision. Pompeo also took a few shots at the former president, stating that Americans are looking for someone who can clearly articulate their vision for the country, not just tweet. Pompeo launched the political group Champion American Values PAC in 2021 to support conservative candidates ahead of the 2022 midterm elections.
