"Former Trump Adviser Peter Navarro Begins Prison Sentence for Contempt of Congress"

Peter Navarro, a former senior aide to President Donald Trump, reported to a Miami jail after the Supreme Court declined to delay his prison time while he appeals his conviction for refusing to testify before Congress about his involvement in efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. Navarro claimed that he was protected by executive privilege and insisted that he had done nothing wrong by ignoring a congressional subpoena. He and former Trump strategist Stephen K. Bannon are fighting prison sentences for contempt of Congress in relation to the Jan. 6 investigation.
