Disney accused of making "backroom" development deal with DeSantis board.

Lawyers for a board handpicked by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis accused Disney of making a "backroom deal" to retain development rights for one of its theme parks located in a special tax district. The board is expected to declare the previous development agreement with Disney "null and void" on April 26. The conflict began after Disney criticized DeSantis over his "Don't Say Gay" bill, which banned the discussion of gender identity and sexual orientation in public schools before fourth grade.
