Arizona House expels Rep. Liz Harris in bipartisan vote.

The Arizona House of Representatives has expelled GOP member Liz Harris after an ethics committee found she committed "disorderly behavior" by lying about false testimony given during a February legislative hearing on elections. Harris invited a speaker to testify at the hearing who baselessly accused Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs, Republican House Speaker Ben Toma, Maricopa County leaders, and local judges of accepting bribes from a drug cartel. The decision to punish Harris amounted to a rare moment of Republicans holding one of their own to account for spreading false claims about elections and democratic institutions.
