A magnitude 7.2 earthquake struck off the southern coast of Alaska, prompting a tsunami advisory that has since been canceled. The earthquake occurred near Sand Point and King Cove, with a small tsunami observed in those areas. There is no threat of a tsunami for other Pacific coasts.
