"Fatal Avalanche Strikes Palisades Tahoe Resort Amid California Winter Storm"

One person died and another was injured in an avalanche at Palisades Tahoe ski resort in Olympic Valley, California. The avalanche occurred on the Palisades side of the mountain, prompting the closure of both sides of the resort. Emergency responders, including fire trucks and police vehicles, were on the scene, and search and rescue efforts were underway.
