Alaska Peninsula's 7.2 Earthquake Prompts Brief Tsunami Warning

A 7.2 earthquake struck off the southern coast of Alaska's Aleutian Islands, resulting in a small tsunami that hit King Cove and Sand Point, Alaska. However, there was no tsunami threat for Oregon, Washington, or California. The initial tsunami warning for coastal areas of South Alaska and the Alaska Peninsula was later canceled.
