A tornado knocked down the roof of the Apollo Theatre in Belvidere, Illinois, during a Morbid Angel metal concert, killing one person and injuring 48 others. The tornado was part of a dangerous weather system that spawned dozens of tornadoes across the Midwest and the South, killing at least 21 people nationwide. The National Weather Service confirmed the damage was caused by an EF-1 tornado with winds as high as 100 mph. Construction crews spent Saturday morning clearing the damage and debris caused by the storm, which was mostly concentrated around the Apollo.
