Fighter Jets Successfully Land on Highways in World Firsts

Two F-35A Lockheed Martin fighter jets from the Royal Norwegian Air Force have successfully landed on a motorway in Finland, marking the first time this version of the F-35 has landed on a road. The ability to land on motorways and small airfields increases the jets' survivability in times of war, as they are vulnerable on the ground. This development comes as Finland, which shares a border with Russia, plans to purchase 64 F-35 fighter jets from Lockheed Martin.
