Belvita Breakfast Sandwiches Recalled for Undeclared Peanut Allergen

Mondelez has issued a voluntary recall for two varieties of Belvita Breakfast Sandwiches, citing possible nut contamination. The affected products, Cinnamon Brown Sugar with Vanilla Creme and Dark Chocolate Creme, were manufactured in the U.S. and sold nationwide. The recall is due to the potential presence of undeclared peanuts resulting from cross-contact on a single manufacturing line. People with severe peanut allergies are at risk of serious or life-threatening reactions if they consume the products. Three unconfirmed reports of possible allergic reactions have been received. Consumers with peanut allergies should not consume the recalled products and should dispose of them.
