Trader Joe's Recalls Chicken Soup Dumplings Over Plastic Contamination

Trader Joe's has issued an urgent recall for its steamed chicken soup dumplings after customers found pieces of hard plastic in the food, with over 160,000 boxes affected. The dumplings, popularized by TikTok influencers, may have been contaminated with plastics from a permanent marker pen. The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced the recall, urging consumers not to consume the product and to return it to the place of purchase. This comes after Trader Joe's recalled four products last month due to a nationwide listeria outbreak linked to contaminated cheese, which has resulted in two deaths and affected items sold nationwide.
