Julia Ormond Files Lawsuit Against Harvey Weinstein, CAA, Disney, and Miramax for Sexual Assault and Negligence

English actress Julia Ormond has filed a lawsuit against Harvey Weinstein for sexual battery, as well as suing CAA, Miramax, and Disney for negligence. Ormond alleges that Weinstein forced her to perform oral sex on him after a business dinner in 1995. The lawsuit also claims that CAA failed to protect her and that her agents discouraged her from seeking justice. Ormond's career suffered as a result, but she has continued to work in television. Weinstein is currently serving a 39-year sentence for rape and sexual assault. Ormond hopes that her lawsuit will hold powerful people and institutions accountable and lead to further protections in the industry. CAA denies the allegations and rejected Ormond's demand for $15 million.
