Dwayne Johnson to star in Disney's live-action 'Moana' remake.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson announced a live-action remake of Disney's "Moana" during the company's annual shareholder meeting. The new film will be produced by Flynn Picture Co. and Auli‘i Cravalho, the voice of Moana in the original film, is listed as one of the executive producers of the project. Johnson, who played the demigod Maui in the animated film, said the reimagining is in its early development stage and will celebrate Polynesian culture.
