Diplomatic Talks Held Amid India-Canada Row

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken held talks in Washington, discussing global developments and preparing for a 2+2 meeting. The meeting comes amidst a diplomatic dispute between India and Canada over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. The fifth edition of the India-US 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue will be hosted by New Delhi, with the dates yet to be announced. The relationship between India and Canada has further deteriorated after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suggested that the Indian government may be involved in Nijjar's killing, a claim that India has rejected.
