Gaza's Al-Shifa Hospital: Babies Die as IDF Evacuates

Newborns and other patients at Gaza's largest hospital, Al-Shifa, are dying as power fails and resources run out due to heavy bombardment and intense fighting outside the complex. The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that at least 35 premature babies face possible death, with three already having died over the weekend. The majority of Gaza's hospitals are out of service, and the Al-Quds hospital has also become non-operational. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced evacuation routes from Al-Shifa and two other hospitals in Gaza City, but it remains unclear if any patients have been able to evacuate. The situation at Al-Shifa is dire, with images showing babies wrapped in blankets and resources dwindling, including food and water. The IDF claims to have offered fuel to the hospital, but it was allegedly refused.
