"Taco Bell emerges victorious in 'Taco Tuesday' trademark dispute"

Taco John's has abandoned its trademark for "Taco Tuesday" after a long-standing dispute with Taco Bell. The fast-food chain from Wyoming decided that defending the trademark was not the right thing to do and announced its abandonment. In response, Taco John's has challenged Taco Bell and other competitors to donate to the nonprofit Children of Restaurant Employees (CORE) instead of spending money on the trademark dispute. Taco Bell has welcomed the decision and expressed its support for the shared victory. However, there is still a legal challenge to the term "Taco Tuesday" from Gregory Hotel, the parent company of Gregory's Restaurant and Bar in New Jersey.
