"GM Workers in Wentzville Reach 'Stunning' Deal, Ending Strike"

After more than six weeks of strikes, the United Auto Workers (UAW) reached a tentative agreement with General Motors (GM), which UAW President Shawn Fain called a "stunning contract victory." The agreement, if ratified, would provide GM workers with historic raises, including general wage increases of at least 25% and cost-of-living bumps. The deal follows similar agreements reached with Ford and Stellantis. The UAW will now vote on sending the agreement to its members, who will have the final say.
