Disney CEO Bob Iger's Vision for Building a Modern Company

Disney CEO Bob Iger admitted during a company-wide town hall that his second stint as CEO has been more challenging than he expected. Iger acknowledged facing numerous challenges since returning to the role in November 2022, but expressed no regrets about his decision. He plans to build a "modern version of the Walt Disney Company" but provided few details. Iger also downplayed previous comments about potentially selling off media assets. Disney has been involved in culture wars and faced battles with activist investor Nelson Peltz. The company reported overall revenue of $21.24 billion and net income of $246 million for the fourth quarter. Disney aims to trim $2 billion more in costs, raising its annual savings goal to $7.5 billion.
