Amazon Tightens Prime Sharing Restrictions and Ends Key Benefits

Amazon is ending its Prime sharing program that allowed members to share free shipping benefits outside their household, effective October 1, and is encouraging non-household members to subscribe independently at a discounted rate. The Prime Invitee program will be replaced with Amazon Family, which allows sharing benefits with one other adult and up to four children or teens within the household. This change comes as Amazon expands its delivery network to more rural and smaller communities across the U.S.
