Google Search Introduces AI Image Generation with Text Descriptions

Google has announced that its Search Generative Experience (SGE) will now allow users to create AI images with text prompts. Users can type in a text prompt and get inspired with AI-generated art created on the fly. The feature will generate four unique images, with the option to try again if unsatisfied. This addition is particularly beneficial for Chromebook owners who cannot access Bing's image creator. Each AI-generated image will carry a distinct watermark and metadata label to ensure it is not mistaken for an original human creation. Google is also introducing an upcoming feature called "About this image" to provide context and authenticity. Additionally, Google Images now includes a "Create something new" feature that uses AI technology to generate brand new images for inspiration. While there are concerns about the ethics and regulation of AI art, the author believes in focusing on checks and balances and ethical development to benefit from this technology.
